Starline Brass manufactures high grade brass cases using an alloy of seventy percent copper and thirty percent zinc. The cases are drawn vertically to maintain consistent wall thickness and are annealed between each draw to preserve uniform metallurgy across production lots. Every case is visually checked by hand to ensure dependable quality.
Based in Sedalia, Missouri, Starline has operated for more than three decades and supplies new, unprimed brass for reloaders. This product is not loaded ammunition. Bulk brass should be full length sized, trimmed, and chamfered before loading.
During final cleaning after annealing, some rifle case mouths may appear slightly out of round or show small dents below the shoulder. These marks are cosmetic and usually disappear after the first firing without affecting performance or lifespan. You may also notice visible anneal discoloration near the neck or slightly flared case mouths on smaller calibers.
Before loading, straighten the case mouth by partially running the case into a sizing die so the expander ball reforms the neck. Chamfer and deburr inside and outside the mouth, and apply lubricant inside the neck to prevent stretching.
Nickel plated cases require extra lubrication before sizing because the surface is harder than standard brass. If a case becomes stuck, use a proper stuck case remover to avoid damaging your die.
Starline Brass is made in the United States of America.
