Starline Brass is known for manufacturing top grade brass cases with consistent quality standards. Their brass contains 70 percent copper and 30 percent zinc and is vertically formed during production which ensures even wall thickness throughout each case. Cases are annealed after every draw step to maintain uniform metallurgical properties across all production batches. Every brass case undergoes individual hand inspection to ensure maximum quality control.
Starline Brass operates out of Sedalia in Missouri and has been serving the industry for more than three decades. Choose Starline for your reloading needs, performance and reliability remain consistent. This is new unprimed brass only and not loaded ammunition. Bulk brass should be properly full length sized, trimmed, and chamfered before use.
Brass preparation guidelines: With bulk rifle brass it is possible to find case mouths that are slightly misshaped or lightly dented below the shoulder. These cosmetic issues often happen after the final tumbling and washing process following annealing. Manufacturers are aware of these surface variations and continue improving processes, but some minor dents may still appear due to equipment limitations. These small dents usually disappear after the first firing and do not impact case life or function. On untreated brass you may also notice annealing discoloration that can leave a light pink tone on the case neck. In smaller calibers, slight flaring at the case mouth may also be present.
For all new rifle brass, the case and mouth should be carefully straightened before chamfering and deburring both inside and outside edges. To align the case mouth, partially run the case into the sizing die and allow the expander ball to correct the shape. To avoid excessive neck stretching, always apply lubrication inside the case neck during sizing.
When working with nickel plated brass, extra lubrication is required before sizing because nickel is harder than standard brass. If a case gets stuck, use a proper stuck case removal tool rather than pliers or improvised tools that can damage the sizing die.
